Samsung Galaxy S20 Release Data And Everything Else You Need to Know

After months of poorly kept secrets, Samsung has finally made the s20, s20+ and s20 ultra lineup official in the famous Unpacked event in San Francisco. The headline of these mobile phones are their gigantic cameras, with s20 ultra taking the lead with huge 108 megapixel primary lens. It also supports 5G, with nm wave only supported on top of the line s20 ultra. The refresh rate on these mobile phones is 120 Hz, which the Samsung fans have been waiting for anxiously.
With the s20 release date official, here is everything you need to know about the latest s20 lineup from Samsung.
Price And Release Date
The bottom of the line s20 starts at $999, with s20 plus and s20 ultra costing $1,199 and $1,399 respectively. The pre-orders will remain open till 21 Feb, with shipments starting from March 6.
If you live in the US, you can order s20 through any of the major mobile operators. Keep in mind that since the regular s20 doesn’t support the mm wave, it won’t by sold by Verizon.
Does They Support 5G?
The fact that all the three s20 models have snapdragon 865 built into them allows them to support 5G connection. But there is a catch here, as only the top of line s20 ultra can support the real 5G connection in it’s full speed. The different wave structure is the reason why Verizon will not sell or support it.
The s20 Cameras
The camera lineup is one of the best features of the s20 lineup. Samsung says that it has completely reimagined and remade the cameras in these latest mobile phones. However, the s20 ultra stands out with its 108 megapixel main camera lens. So, the camera enthusiasts can focus on buying the s20 ultra.
